Fuel Tables

The process of tracking fuel consumption in The Great War at Sea is easy; the only complication is for fleets moving two spaces (instead of one) on the operational map. But that one complication does make planning difficult. Given a fleet, I just want to know how many two-square moves I can do and still not run out of fuel.

Since that's not obvious from the fuel consumption rates, I made the tables to help answer that question.

This table shows the number of one-space moves that a fleet can make given the number of fuel boxes and desired number of two-space moves:

For example, a fleet with four fuel boxes that makes 3 two-space moves will still have enough fuel to move 14 spaces one at a time.


This table shows the total number of spaces traveled by a fleet with the given number of fuel boxes and desired two-space moves. Each cell is just the sum of it's corresponding cell in the previous table and two times the number of two space moves:

Continuing the previous example, that fleet with four fuel boxes making 3 two-space moves will move a total of 20 spaces.
