Turn 4: Philocles's Activation

My apologies for the length of time that I've taken in getting this update out. In between summer travel, prepping for ex-AvalonCon, attending ex-AvalonCon, and actually playing games (gasp!) its been hard finding the time to do the move.

Surprisingly, not one person voted for the Epirotes to concede. Many folks made reasonable arguments that Epirotes still have some slight chance to win.

I suppose those agreeing with the sad condition of the Epirotes just didn't bother to vote.

The voting:

Option

Votes
Activate Milon, attack cohorts with PH & HI 3
Activate Philocles, ditto 1
Activate Philocles, attack routed cohorts with LC 2
Activate Philocles, attack routed cohort with LC, rally PH 1
Make Active Player Trump with Pyrrhus 3
Make Active Player Trump with Leonatus 1

The most votes for any single action (counting the vote for Philocles that's otherwise identical to the votes for Milon as the same vote) are for counterattacking the cohorts which have broken through the phalanx line. Usually I'm in favor of routing units, but not now. The Epirotes have lost the game unless they can kill -- not just rout -- more than 50 RPs worth of units. While those newly routed units are vulnerable to a Momentum activations, wouldn't it be better to kill already routed units and then use Momentum activations to kill even more?

The votes for Pyrrhus to take an APT were interesting. I'd be leery of removing any chance for Megacles to get Momentum. Then again, the Romans are likely to try for Momentum anyway at this point (since the Dieroll of Doom could end the game) and if Pyrrhus Trumps then Megacles won't get Momentum anyway. Tough call.

Philocles's Activation
Routing, not shown: AS/VII LG: c,h. AS/XIV RC: a
In Pursuit: AS/XV Ex RC (w/ 4 hits)

Milon stays in place in order to get the most out of his 3 commands. The attack on the Roman front line routs the enemy cohorts, while the HI pursuing the already-routed cohorts eliminates the enemy because of the PreShock TQ Check.

Current Rout Point totals:
Side Current Limit Pct
 Romans 149 185 81%
 Epirotes 129 120 108%

Milon tries for Momentum -- why not? -- and fails with a dr='7'.

So now it's the Romans turn to activate a '3' leader, either Drusus, Falco, or Magnus. Who should activate and what should they do?

Mail me.
