First things first. A voter caught an error on the last move. The unit which was eliminated because it was surrounded by ZOC actually did have a way out, namely: run over the adjacent routed unit! (Go back two moves to see the situation before Philocles attacks.) I don't want to slow down the game any more, though, so we're going to forge ahead anyway.
The voting:
Option | Votes | |
|---|---|---|
| Trump with Laevinus | 1 | |
| Trump with Drusus | 5 | |
| No Trump | 4 |
Drusus rolls for a trump but fails with a dieroll of '6', so Philocles continues his momentum. Only one voter could resist the delicious temptation of the flank of the already-battered AS/XV legion, so, in accordance with the majority will:
Routing, not shown: AS/VII LG h
In Pursuit: AS/XV Ex RC (w/ 4 hits)
One of the voters suggested changing the mark for routed units from "Rtd" to "R". I'll do so from here on. The mess in the center around the blue (III) legion is, I hope, a little easier to figure out.
A couple of rules in errors in submitted votes:
Philocles orders his LC around the side and rear of the Roman flank, and moves himself so as to allow the HI and LC already in contact with the forward cohort to shock attack also.
Reaction facing changes can't help the Romans. The cohort being flanked is ineligible because it's already in ZOC, and the cohort being attacked from the rear can only change one hex side.
Pre-Shock rolls rout the flanked cohort, which routs through its neighbors and ends up near Rebilus. Subsequent melee routs the other two cohorts at the cost of routing an Epirote. The lines on the picture are a mess; there were no straightforward rout paths.
The victorious LC roll for pursuit, but get backed up behind the unit that the defeated cohorts routed through. I opted for no Reaction Facing Change, as a +3 drm (8 MA vs 5) on a TQ 5 check is poor odds.
Philocles tries again for Momentum -- why not? -- and succeeds with a dieroll of '0'! So we've got a déja vu vote:
Activated so far:
| Epirote: | Pyrrhus (EIO), Milon, Philocles | |
| Roman: | Plautius, Rebilus, Magnus, Drusus |
The Rout Point totals:
| Side | Current | Limit | Pct |
|---|---|---|---|
| Romans | 76 | 185 | 41% |
| Epirotes | 49 | 120 | 41% |
