Things weren't as straightforward here as I thought that they would be. Presented with all those routed units, I prefer to knock off as many as possible and get their rout points in the bank. While lines get broken up, I think that this generally works to the Epirote advantage in this scenario.
Philocles can attack, but he's hampered by his distance from the Roman line.
Shoring up the Roman left is a good idea, but I don't think that skirmishers alone will be of much good.
A strong plurality seemed to think the same way, so here we go.
Milon tries for a line command, rolls a '4', and fails.
Routing, not shown: AS/VII LG h
In Pursuit: AS/XV Ex RC (w/ 4 hits)
Milon moves to give commands to the HI, then orders two forward to knock off two routed cohorts. As they move forward, Plautius OWs to safety.
One of the routed cohorts actually survives the Pre-Shock morale check, but only inflicts one hit on its attacker. The HI advance and subsequent entry fire bounces off them with no result.
The Rout Point totals:
| Side | Current | Limit | Pct |
|---|---|---|---|
| Romans | 65 | 185 | 35% |
| Epirotes | 49 | 120 | 41% |
Milon tries for Momentum and succeeds with a dieroll of '1'.
Which brings us to voting time. Should the Romans trump? If yes, with who and what should they do? If no, or if the trump fails, what should Milon do? Remember, Milon cannot get an LC since he didn't get an LC during his normal activation.
Activated so far: Pyrrhus (EIO), Plautius, Rebilus.
