My thoughts:
The voting was pretty straightforward -- as goes Cassius, so goes Magnus. I tend to agree, though I would prefer some form of flank protection. The voter that wanted to move forward three hexes wanted to then use Laevinus to move the principes line again, this time further right and refusing the flank, to give the Epirotes a long path around. That seemed like the right spirit to me.
But the clearly most popular choice was to move the principes up and to the right to echo the move of the hastati. So:
