Turn 2

• Pyrrhus's EIO: the Epirote cavalry regroups
• Plautius: the hastati cross the river, routing the Epirote skirmish line LI as they do so
• Rebilus: the hastati continue their advance, eliminating the routed LI and forcing the skirmishers back
• Magnus: the principes cross the river
• Pyrrhus's Trump: the Epirote cavalry continue to recover
  • Momentum: the assault on the right flank of the legions begins
• Milon: the MI chase the Roman left flank cavalry back across the river
• Falco: a contingent of Roman cavalry assaults the Epirote right wing
• Philocles: the Roman attack is beaten back

• Rebilus: the principes clear away the Epirote skirmish line and medium infantry
• Plautius: the hastati bounce off the Epirote phalanx
• Milon: picks off some routed cohorts
  • Momentum: a small assault on the Roman left
• Magnus: the integrity of the principes lines is restored
• Philocles: the light cavalry attacks the flanks of the Roman infantry
  • Momentum: the LC rout the Roman left flank
  • 2nd Momentum: The Epirotes continue the destruction of the AS/XV legion on the Roman left
• Cassius: the second Roman line hits the phalanx, with some success (but will it be enough?)
• Socrates: a lone SK does what it can...

• Pyrrhus's EIO: now on the right flank, Pyrrhus unleashes a few elephants
• Plautius pummels the phalanx line
• Rebilus completes the collapse of the Epirote center
• Cassius mops up the routed phalanx
• Milon counterattacks on the Roman left
• Magnus continues to mop up the phalanx
• Philocles picks off some routed units and gets Momentum!
  • Momentum: the LC continue mopping up
  • 2nd Momentum: the LC choke on a flank attack!
• Socrates: tries....
  • Momentum: ...and tries, but his SK are useless
• Megacles: tears into the Roman right with a vengeance -- now the Romans are over their rout limit, too
  • Momentum: the HC mop up the AS/XIX legion rather effectively and now the Epirotes are winning!

• Laevinus: routs but fails to eliminate another PH
  • Momentum: Pyrrhus fails his trump roll, and Laevinus ties the Epirotes
  • 2nd Momentum: Laevinus eliminates two more units and wins the game!
