Simmias moves one hex north, where the battered Immortals perform a Reaction Facing Change and lock them in. Missile fire has no effect (range 1 is only a 50% chance of a hit).
The flank MI is then moved down to block retreat routes, while the CAT rallied last turn attacks the southernmost Immortals.
Belisarius recovers the CAT in front of the trenches, then moves himself to so that Sunicas will be within command range. The latter then races for the north edge.
In the South, the Immortals are eliminated due to no rout path (that board edge is the end of the world) though the attacking CAT takes three hits (the standard 2 for shock, plus moving uphill).
Simmias also routs his Immortals, and also takes three hits - he rolled an '8' for his Pre-Shock TQ check.
Current Rout Point totals:
| Side | Current | Limit | Pct |
|---|---|---|---|
| Persians | 100 | 109 | 92% |
| Byzantines | 60 | 102 | 59% |
Looking a bit grim for the Persians. On to Sunicas and Simmias!
