A player pointed out that on the last move I allowed a unit to use Reaction Fire when an enemy entered one of its flank hexes, and that's not legal. So I redid the last move. Fortunately, it was on the opposite flank of Perozes, so I could still resolve his move here, too. If you haven't been following along, then this comment makes no sense, as the previous page looks ok. Isn't the web cool?
Perozes tries to Rally the two routed Immortals near the eastern board edge, but dierolls of '6' and '9' result in their elimination. That alone is a 12% jump in the Persians RP total.
Perozes then brings up a Saracen to take a potshot at one of the "breakthrough" CAT. Dieroll '8' results in no effect.
Lastly, Perozes counterattacks with the Immortals. Persian luck continues to be below par as the Preshock rolls are '8' for both attackers, while the defenders pass (albeit just barely). The melee sees one CAT send flying while the other hangs on, just barely.
Current Rout Point totals:
| Side | Current | Limit | Pct |
|---|---|---|---|
| Persians | 67 | 109 | 61% |
| Byzantines | 45 | 102 | 44% |
Perozes tries for Momentum and succeeds. Will the Byzantines Trump?
