Perozes moves up some LI to shield a routed HC, then rallies it and the HC to the rear before doing the two-step south.
He tries for Momentum, but fails (dr '8').
Ordinarily we'd go on to Belisarius, but now it can be revealed: he tried to Trump Barasames and, unbelievably, lost again.
My gut feeling is that the Byzantine luck has been pretty wretched. I got curious to see exactly how bad it has been, so I analyzed all the command dierolls that have been made. You can judge for yourself.
So it's on to the Rout and Reload Phase. A Byzantine HC makes it into the gates of Dara and out of the game. The other rout movement is as shown.
Current Rout Point totals:
| Side | Current | Limit | Pct |
|---|---|---|---|
| Persians | 53 | 109 | 49% |
| Byzantines | 38 | 102 | 37% |
On to turn 9, and Belisarius's EIO. At least that is guaranteed.
