Perozes's Momentum

Turn 6: Perozes's Momentum

Perozes orders the HC to emulate their comrades on the other flank and charge the Byzantine line.

The Byzantine reaction fire is effective but not deadly (no double zeroes) at the cost of one Missile No and one Missile Low HC.

One Byzantine defender gets the dreaded '9' for Pre-Shock TQ Checks, but the rest -- even the MI -- pass their tests. The Persians fare about the same.

The honors are about equally split in Shock, too, except for the MI who is faced with Attack Superiority and routs. The attacking Immortal advances and gets a bit more shot up by the adjacent HI, though the HI must use range 1 (rather than the more deadly ranges 3-4) and only scores one hit.

One of the Persian '5' units was a '6' and hence might've routed, but he passed his Collapse TQ Check.

Since some units didn't make contact, Perozes rolls for an Uncontrolled Advance. The dr is '8', and the Persian HC that moved must advance next turn after the EIO phase.

Finally, Perozes tries for a 2nd Momentum, but gets the Dieroll of Doom and the turn ends. The routed MI head for the edge of the board, and we're on to the EIO phase of Turn 7.

End of Turn Rout Point totals:
Side Current Limit Pct
Persians 20 109 18%
Byzantines 10 102 10%
