The Persians have received their facelift so that we can tell them from the Byzantines. As with the other graphics, darker colors equate to "heavier" units, and the cavalry retain their time-honored diagonal stripe. I hope that color shift will help more than it confuses!
Bouzes recovers one HC and does a bit of mopping up with the other. He survives the melee (in spite of the personal risk) and the HC take the standard two hits while routing both enemy cavalry units.
Bouzes rolls for Momentum and gets it, dr='4'. Stay tuned.
Rules note: Barasames should not have had any Momentum activations this turn due to being a bypassed leader when A.John Trumped. Since it's not specified in the rulebook, I had ruled that only leaders of lesser initiative were bypassed. Unhappily for referee omnipotence, the Official Ruling is that equal-initiative leaders are bypassed also. Since I found out too late to recall Barasames, I'm awarding Bouzes his Momentum(s?) under the "equal unfairness for all" doctrine. But next turn we'll play with the proper rules.
Current Rout Point totals:
| Side | Current | Limit | Pct |
|---|---|---|---|
| Persians | 4 | 109 | 4% |
| Byzantines | 10 | 102 | 10% |
