Perozes is grateful for the command problems of the Byzantines, but curses their distance, as the Persians are too far away to take much advantage of the trouble.
Thinking about it now, it would have enhanced the limited intelligence aspects of the game, to say nothing of realism, had the Persians not known that the Byzantines were paralyzed. Something to think about for next time.
Deciding that the Saracens are getting rather the worse of the missile fire, Perozes retreats the good-order LC out of danger and attempts to rally the routed units. Two of the three respond positively to his exhortations; the last is eliminated and so gives the Persians 4 RPs.
Perozes then moves for a conference with Barasames, and tries for Momentum. He fails (dr='7') so Barasames is up.
