of an existing department store structure into a nine-screen movie
theater on the second floor with food court and retail on first
floor and basement. 83,000 sf .

New nine-screen
movie theater connecting to existing shopping mall. 46,000 sf with renovation of existing basements. Project completed in 13
months from start of schematic design to end of construction.
Cineplex
Odeon Theaters, Montgomery Mall, Bethesda, MD
Renovation
of an existing three-screen movie theater on the first first level
of the mall. 14,000 sf

Great Mall of Milpitas, Milpitas, CA
Renovation
of a car manufacturing plant into a regional shopping center.
1,540,000 sf with nine anchor tenants.

Place Shopping Center, Silver Spring MD
An urban
mixed-use center consisting of retail, theater and office space.
Phase I 430,000 sf on five levels opened April 1992.
Phase II future eight-floor hotel over existing center.
Renovation and extensive modification of the existing concrete
department store structure as well as new long span composite
steel construction. Existing limestone and new precast concrete
exterior. Extensive and complicated four-year zoning process.
Planning and code approvals for 10-screen movie theater for top
floor of center. Design and planning for future office tower.
Project received 1992 Certificate of Merit for Excellence in
Construction
from the Associated Builders and Contractors.
Town
Center East, Minnesota Avenue, Washington, D.C.
Programming,
planning and schematic design for a mixed-use center adjacent
to subway station. 320,000 sf of office space on two floors over
a 450,000 sf retail center on two floors. Design included a central
atrium, full length of building and 10-screen movie theater.
Port
America, Prince George's County, MD
Schematic
design and planning for a mixed-use residential, hotel, office
and retail complex. Two waterfront buildings of 230,000 sf each
with five floors and with underground parking garage. Land use
studies for residential areas of 1,100 dwelling units consisting
of condominiums and townhouses. A joint venture with Burgee Architects
and Philip Johnson.

110,000 sf office space over 40,000 sf of covered mall retail.
Tysons
Ford, Tysons Corner, VA
Renovation
of existing automobile dealership. Included upgrade for building
codes and ADA.
