The last time I saw this at a toy show, the guy said he wanted $400 for it. Now, it's a nice bus and all, but I really can't see paying that much for any piece. I mean, you could maybe get 7-8 McDonald's for that much money. Or 5-6 castles. My point is, its price/playability ratio is way too low for me.
But it is a nice bus, it's a pull toy, and I believe it has the same rolling eyes on its front as the Nifty Station Wagon. The bottom half of the chassis is wood, and the top half is clear plastic, with open windows, and a large "sunroof" covered by a heavy wooden block. It's yellow, obviously. The driver is attached to the bus, and he turns his head while driving, as any cautious motorist would. The bus has red wooden seats that have no holes in them, so the little people must precariously balance themselves while riding.
The people themselves that came with the set are nothing like the little people we know and love today. They do have mostly round heads, but their mouths have that triangular shape. They have round plastic white collars, sort of in an Elizabethan style. At any rate, the collars stick out from their bodies. Their bodies themselves are nothing more than cardboard cylinders that have been covered with a litho. The lithos are of the little people in school clothes, clutching school books.
