Pop-up Camper

Pop-up Camper #992

From a Fisher Price Ad
I never saw this one, and for the longest time I wasn't even sure it existed. Then I saw one a friend had, and so I had to believe it existed, but I had never seen it for sale ANYWHERE! Okay then, I got two Pop-up sets in the same week. Very weird thing there, eh? Anyway, it's a two piece set, in white and red. The first part is a 4 seater car, sort of like a blazer or a suburban, white with red interior, and red side detailing. The lithos on the red side detailing are very similar to the lithos on the minibus, they have a woodgrain texture with pretend travel stickers. The back two seats of the car fold down, to create an extra large trunk, if desired.

The second piece is the camper, which attaches to the car with a hitch. It rides along on one center axel only. Folded, it kind of looks like a rectangualr box of plastic, with 4 posts sticking up (soon to become legs). Unfold the two top flaps (please wait until the camper has come to a full and complete stop!) and you reveal the camper. It has a yellow canvas top, with windows on either end. The two top plastic flaps now form two side compartments, where the Little People are probably supposed to sleep. The main compartment has a narrow walking area and a narrow counter with with kitchen lithos that takes up one half of the camper, and a built in table with four built in seats that takes up the other half. The table litho has a woodgrain print, and a picture of a bowl of flowers, a kid drawn picture, and a box of crayons.
