Mola Map of Panama

This is a tourist mola which depicts a map of the Republic of Panama. The Kuna maker choose to use two figures from the most predominant Spanish influenced population in their native costumes. Realizing that her intended buyer is most likely American she has added the US flag which flies predominately around Panama in both the former canal zone and on US Military installations. The canal is shown with the break in the center of the map.
