Kuna Woman and her bird
This beautifully done applique of a Kuna woman and her bird is not actually a mola at all. It was never made to be worn as the front or back of a Kuna woman's blouse but rather to sell to a tourist. While well crafted it lacks many of the components of a mola used for a blouse including any channel applique or use of inlay. The weight of the piece is also not of blouse quality.
