Fire Pots Mola

The five fire pots in this mola are a good example of Kuna women using everyday objects in the design of their molas. Fire pots are used to burn incense and herbs to help heal the sick and dying. They would be put under the hammock of the sick person so the smoke could waft up around them. This represents an indigenous piece of mola folk art quite well.
