Rifle belt M1918/23 of webbing, consisting of ten pouches with snap studs, each containing two clips of .30 calibre cartridges. The equipment suspenders attached to the belt eyelets with snap hooks, and crossed in the middle of the back. A hand grenade, Mk.II defensive, is carried with its lever hooked through the D-ring of one suspender. The water bottle in its fabric carrier, and a leather-sheathed fighting knife, are also hooked to the lower eyelets.
