Crouch Confederate Soldiers, Thursday 8-Jun-2000 11:21:00, 208.148.129.122
I have a extensive Crouch file on all Confederate Soldiers named Crouch.
It lists their rank name name of Company & Regiment Source of information
(mostly census) and comments. It is by no mean exact; often gives choices
between varying confederate Units & states. But it is a good start and
I hope corrections will follow. If you have a Crouch relative that fought
in the CW please e-mail info to me and I will add it to the list. John Crouch

I found an old picture at an antique store that has seven ladies
on it. There are no addresses or dates on it, but it looks like
it is from the late 1800's or early 1900's. They all have long
dresses with high neck collars. They are sitting in what looks
like a college dorm room because there is a "Lincoln" school
banner on the wall. Just curious about who they are - any info
would just be for fun! The names on the picture are: Ve Ora
Garrett; Hazel Mease; Lillian Dunbar; Lou Emma Crouch; Cordelia
Crouch; Nellie Rudy; & Hattie ? - she wrote a note to her mamma!

I am researching the Draper Family. The descendants of John Crouch (1728-1814)
are involved with the Drapers. Sarah (1762-1863) married Samuel Draper.
John Crouch (1796-1885) married Sarah Draper. Ephraim Crouch (1811-1904)
married Eunice Draper.
Is anyone interested in exchanging information?

I have a small bible that has some COUCH names written in it. [also
Crouch names -- JC] ... In the front of the bible it says that it
was bought by A.F. Couch on Jan. 23, 1876. Also in bold printing is "Nancy
Ann Couch." In another page is written: Josiah Crouch borned Apr. 15
1872; Ida Bell borned Apr. 21, 1875; Martha Crouch borned July 14, 1878.
Recorded by James M. Crouch. The only hunch I have at this time is
that our Andrew GRUBB b 1824 in Sullivan Co., TN married a Nancy ??. Perhaps
that could be a connection. The GRUBBs stayed in TN near Bristol or across
the line in VA.... Marlene Marshall Grubb
