Crouch homestead in Wyoming 1928,Wednesday 23-Feb-2000 14:19:42,129.72.35.194
I am director of African American Studies at the University of Wyoming.
A colleague who works for the U.S. Forestry Service near Douglas Wyoming
told me about a homestead registered by Missouri E. Crouch near Douglas
in 1925. Her son was John W. Crouch. His children were named Della and Earl.
The homestead may have been in a town named Tekla.
I'm hoping these folks are related to some of you. I'm trying to create
a research project in local African American history for my students.
Any information contacts or suggestions would be greatly appreciated.

I was born Jerry Linn Crouch on 12 October 1942. I am not sure of
the birthplace, but believe it to be somewhere in the vicinity of Pocatello,
Mountain Home, or Boise, Idaho. I was apparently abandoned by my birth parents
and thereafter cared for by my grandfather whom I believe
to be a Crouch. He was supposedly a minister of unknown denomination. Sometime
in my early childhood between age 2 and 4, I wound up in an orphanage in
Pocatello Idaho, and was adopted around the age of 5 or 6 years. --gary.l.thomson@usace.army.mil

Edyth Crouch married Hubert Edward Armfield in Australia in
1889 and went to live in New York where Hubert was a
portrait artist. They had 2 sons Hubert Melbourne Armfield and
Noel Trangmar Armfield. Hubert was born in 1901 and had 2
daughters Ann Trangmar Armfield born 19/5/1933 and Margaret
Sutherland Armfield born 9/2/1936. The Crouch family in South
Australia would like to trace these cousins who were both born in
LosAngeles. As we don't know who they married we don't know
their present names. Can anyone help?

I am assisting my friend in locating a friend of her late mother's. His
name is Howard Leroy Crouch. He lived in Wasco California during 1949-1952
possibly longer. Her mothers name was Bonnie Cronian who also lived in
