A Kendrick family genealogist says Pliny "was born Mar 11, 1815 in Charles County, MD, and died 1870", not 1890. This genealogist also gives Jane Kendrick's birth as 1833, and this looks accurate as he has the birth dates of all her siblings, who were b. 1825 to 1833, and her father was b. 1800.

Two different Bowie family genealogists list Jane as Pliny's first wife and one lists her as the mother of Henry Hamilton Bowie, but this must be wrong because she was b. 1833 and both of Pliny's children were b. in the early 1840s.
