- separation of spouses for uninterrupted period of more than two years (in which case neither spouse is held culpable)
- adultery
- conviction of felony which involves jail sentence, unless spouse is entitled to and accepts benefits of suspended sentence
- habitual drunkenness or continued and excessive use of opium, morphine or any other narcotic
- cruel treatment or grave injury
- abandonment for over a year
- absolute, perpetual and incurable impotency occurred after marriage
- attempt of husband or wife to corrupt their sons or prostitute their daughters and connivance in such corruption or prostitution
- proposal of husband to prostitute his wife
- incurable insanity supervening after marriage if it seriously prevents spouses living together spiritually
