- willful and malicious desertion or absence without reasonable cause for one or more years
- adultery
- cruel and barbarous treatment
- bigamy
- conviction of serious crime
- indignities rendering condition intolerable and life burdensome
- 18 months confinement in mental institution without reasonable prospect of discharge during next 18 months
