In the name of God Amen: I Jesse Swain of the County of Tyrrell & State of North Carolina being of sound disposing mind, do make and ordain this to be my last will and testament in the manner and form followes Viz.

Item - I give and bequeath to my two sons Uriah & Timothy my lands estate to be divided among them as follows, the ditch that runs across my land from the branch to Joshua Swains line, to be the dividing line, The western and Norther part including the buildings to my son Timothy & the Souther & center part to my son Uriah ---

Item 2 - I give and bequeath to my two sons one bead and furniture - 1 cow and calf & five hogs each ---

Item 3 - I give and bequeath to my five daughters Mary, Abigail, Nancy, Patsey and Frebie one bead and furniture each & one cow and calf each ---

Item 4 - I give and bequeath all my other property to my beloved wife Frebie Swain during her natural life and at her death, I give it to all my daughters to be equally divided among them ---

Item - I do hereby nominate, constitute & appoint my beloved wife Frebie my lawful executrix.

In testimony whereof I have hereunto affixd my hand and seal this 1 day of October 1833 ---
