In the name of God amen: This the 6th day of January 1832. I William Meekins of the County and State aforesaid being through the blessing of God in a sound state of mind and memory, but calling to mind the frail tenure of this life and that it is appointed to all men once to die to make and ordain this my last Will & Testament, that is to say principally and first of all I rcomnent my soul into the hands of Almighty God who gave it me, and the disposal of my body I leave to the entire direction of my friends. With respect to my worldly estate I give bequeath and dispose of it in the manner and proportions here following. ---
First - I give and bequeath to my dearly beloved wife the one half of the manner plantation whereon I now live to be devided North and South and her to have the East-ward part with all the buildings and as much priviledge of timber as she needs; Also I give and bequeath to my beloved wife one half of all my live stock, also one half of my negroes property also one half of my household furniture & kitchen furniture during her natural life, and after her death to my beloved son Isaac B. Meekins and his lawful heirs.
Thence I give to my beloved son Isaac B. Meekins all the residue of my lands and primises to him and his heirs forever also the residue of my estate forever.
I disallow revoke and disannul all and every other testament wills and legacies ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament in witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and date above written. I leave my wife Adah to be my executrix and my son Isaac B. Meekins my executor.

The last will and testament of Wm. Meekins decd. was exhibited in open court and the due execution thereof proved by Mathew P. Brickhouse who swore that at the time of signing the same he was of sound & disposing mind. ---
