In the name of God Amen: I Samuel Midgitt or the County of Tyrrell in the State of North Carolina do make this writing my last will and testament revoking all others that may appear. Viz: I first resign my body to the ground from whence it was taken to be buried in a Christian like manner, my soul to God who gave it, as touching my worldly estate that it has pleased God to bless me with Viz:

Item - First what all my just debts be speedily paid by my excutors -

Item - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife the plantation whereon I now live with all the farming tools, begining at a ditch on the Lake, thence runing with Benj. Midgitts line to his No corner, then to Affy Marner S. W. corner, then with Affy Marner line to the Lake, then with the Lake to the first station, with all the houses and fencing and a privilege of rail timber on any of the land I now possess during her life and then to my youngest son John to him his heirs and assigns forever ---

Item - I give and bequeath to my beloved wife one negro man named Monday during her life and then to my youngest son John to him his heis and assigns forevr --

Item - I give and bequeath to beloved wife one mare to her her heirs and assigns forever ---

Item - I give my daughter Affy ten shillings to her her heirs and assigns forever ---

Item - I give to my daughter Angelica ten shillings to her her heirs and assigns forev ---

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Thos. Midgett ten shillings---

Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally ten shillings ---

Item - I give and bequeath to my son Samuel Midgit ten shillings ---

Item - I give my beloved wife one feather bead & furniture -

Item - I give my daughter May one feather bead & furniture ---

Item - I give my son Edward one feather bead & furniture -

Item - I give my son Belcher one feather bead & furniture -

Item - I give to my son Jno. one feather bead & furniture --

Item - I give my land in Bodies Island to my six children May, Edward, Joseph, Belcher, Sally & Jno. to them their heirs and assigns forev ---

Item - I give all the remaing part of my land to be equaly divided among my five children May , Edward, Joseph, Belcher and Sally - to them their heirs and assigns forev --

Item - I give all the remaining part of my property both personal and real to my beloved wife for the support of her children during her life and then to be divided equi between my five children May, Edward, Joseph, Belcher and Sally- to them their heirs and assigns forev ---

My will is that my wife and my son Thomas Midgitt shall be my excutors -
