Dated 19 December 1815

In the name of God amen: I Ann Midgett of the County of Tyrrell & State of No. Carolina this nineteen day of December one thousand eight hundred & fifteen do make & declare this my last will & testament revoking all other will in manner & form following first I commit my soul into the hands of Almighty God & my body to be buried at the discretion of my executors thereafter named and for my real & personal estate I give & dispose thereof as following - Viz.

I give unto my daughter Rhoda one bed & furniture half dozen silver tea spoons to her forever.

Item - I give unto my son Joseph the land I bought of Nancy Pledger & Zillah Pledger to him forever. My desire is that if my son Joseph die before he arives to age my desire is that my daughter Rhoda should have the said land.

Item - I give unto my son Joseph half dozen silver tea spoons.

Item - My desire is that the ballance of my estate be sold at the discretion of my Executors hereafter named to pay my debts - If their be any ballance after paying my debts I the lone to my daughter Rhoda to her & her heirs forever - & lastly I do nominate and appoint Thomas Leigh to be my sole executor of this my last will & testament In witness whereof I have set my hand and seal this day & date above written--
