In the name of God amen: I Demans McCabe of the County of Tyrrell & State of North Carolina being of sound mind and memory, blessed be God, do this day make the month of November 3d 1833, this my last will and testamentas follows, that is to say ---
1st - I give and bequeath to my son James McCabe and William McCabe one hundred and thirty dollars to be equally divided between them ---
2d - I give and bequeath to my son Wm. McCabe one tract a parcel of land whereon I now live, with all the appurtens thereunto belonging one feather bead and furniture one set of chairs ---
3d Item - I give and bequeath to my daughter Sally McCabe one negro girl by the name of Siller, feather bed and furniture that she called hers and one chest ---
4th Item - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Eloclina McCabe one negro girl by the name of Charlotte, one feather bead and furniture and one chest ---
5th Item - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Elizabeth McCabe one negro boy by the name of Judan, one feather bead and furniture one heifer & one chest ---
Item 6th - I give and bequeath unto my daughter Demans McCabe my negro boy by the name of Everit one feather bead and furniture, one chest and one heifer yearling ---
7th Item - I leave three hundred dollars to be equally divided among my the oldest daughters, and Everit, to be hired out for the use of Demans McCabe. ---
I leave the residue of my property to be sold and the money to be equally divided among all my children --- Also I make this my last will and testament and appoint my worthy sons James and William McCabe of this my last will and testament, the day and date of the year above written.

The last will and testament of Demans McCabe was exhibited in open court and proved by the oath of Hugh Davenport. And at the same time appeared James McCabe and qualified as executor to the same.
