In the name of God amen: The 15th day of August 1759 I Higason King of the Province of North Carolina and Tyrrel County Planter being very sick in body but of perfect mind and memory thank be given unto God therefore calling unto mind the mortality of my body and knowing that it is appointed once for all men to dye do make and ordain this my last Will and Testament that is to say principally and first of all I give and recommend my soul into the hands of God that gave it and my body I recommend to the Earth to be buried in a decent manner at the direction of my Executors nothing doubting but at the General Resurrection I shall receive the same again by the power of Allmighty God and as touching such worly Estate wherewith it pleased God to bless me in this life I give demise dispose of the same in the following manner form --

Imprimis - I give and bequeath to Elizabeth my dearly beloved wife during her life then to Higason my son I also give to Elizabeth my wife a negro wench called Sarah and six cows and calves my riding horse and the work horse her riding saddle a feather beed and furniture on third part of the house hold goods & ten of the sheep also give to my son William King a parcel of land beginning at the mouth of the Spring Branch then up the branch to a bottom on the South side then up the bottom then a straight line to the head line then along that line to Linnears corner then along Linears line to the Creek then up to the first station I also give to my son Robert King a certain parcel of land beginning at the mouth of the Mire Branch then up the branch to the fork then up the North Prong then a straight course to the bent of the second branch & down the branch to the head line then along that line to Dugans line then along Dugans line to the Creek then downe the Creek to the first station I also give to my daughter Mary King two cowes and calves and two ewes and lambs.

I also give to Elizabeth King my daughter two cowes and calves and two ewes and lambs and two mares and a colt between Mary and Elizabeth I also give my son Higarson King a mair and colt which goes by the name of his I also give to my two youngest sons Higason and Robert and my five daughters Mary Elizabeth Martha Sarah & Cloey all the rest of my stock and houshold goods and a negro girl to be equally divided among them.

Do hereby utterly disalow revoak & disanul all and every other Testaments Wills Legacies and bequests and Executors by me in any ways before named willed and bequeathed ratifying and confirming this and no other to be my last Will and Testament In witness whereof I have hereunto set my hand and seal the day and year above written I also constitute and appointe for joint Executors to this my last Will and Testament Henry Roberson Junor and Elizabeth King my wife.
