In the name of God amen: I Timothy Jones being in reasonable health, calling to mind the mortality that it is appointed for all men to die - I recommend my soul into the hands of Almighty God that he will at his own appointed time receve my soul in happiness is my prayer to God amen: And as for my body I leave it to the discretion of my executors to be decently buried - It has been please God to bless me with a small property - I give and devise as follows.

Item - I give to my son John Jones sixty two acres of land whereon he now lives -

Item - I leave unto Timothy Jones my son, the land that I bought of Barlet Jones heirs, beginning in my own line and Barlet Jones then along my big ditch to the swamp all to the southwest - -

Item - I leave unto Jordan Jones my son the easten end of the plantation whereon I live, beginning in Batlet Jones and my own line, then along the ditch to a marked pine, then across the plantation along the ditch that runs between the orchard and grape vineyard -

Item - I leave the remainder of the plantation whereon I live to Thomas Jones my son-

Item - I leave the mare to Jordan Jones my son - - Unto Timothy and Jordan the desk and book case and mills - Unto Thomas my son a negro boy by the name of Henry, but for Timothy and Jordan to have the labour of him until Thomas is nineteen years of age - I leave unto Priscilla, Dorcas, Elizabeth and Sarah my four daughter the other three black children and Rose and Josh and the next child that Agnes has after that she and her increase to be equally divided between, John, Timothy, and Jordan - I leave unto David Jones the son of Ebenezr Jones my son, thirty acres of land belonging into the Jones & Pool pattent - I give unto Dorcas Jones one pided heifer - Unto Elizabeth Jones one cow by the name of Fill Pail - Unto Sarah one cow by the name of Cherry - Unto Thomas one white and brinded pided cow - the rest of my cattle and sheep to be equally divided between all of my heirs - My carpenters swamping and farming tools to be divided between John, Timothy & Jordan - the feather beads to be divided between Timothy, Jordan, Priscilla, Dorcas, Elizabeth, Sarah & Thomas, one chest to Elizabeth, to Priscilla one loom and materials.

I leave John, Timothy, and Jordan executors to my last will and testament as I acknowledge this to be my last will and testament as I have hereunto set my hand & seal this 5 day of October 1831.

The will of Timothy Jones, Sr. was exhibited in open court and the due execution of it proved by Joshua White who swore that Timothy Jones Sr. at the time of signing the same was of sound mind and memory & at the same time he saw David Cooper sign the same as concurring testimony.
