As Christians, we are called upon to love our enemies and to
pray for them.


                Matthew 5:44-45 (KJV)

                    But I say unto you, Love your enemies, bless them
                    that curse you, do good to them that hate you, and
                    pray for them which despitefully use you, and
                    persecute you;

                    That ye may be the children of your Father which is
                    in heaven: for he maketh his sun to rise on the evil
                    and on the good, and sendeth rain on the just and on
                    the unjust.


               Luke 6:27-28 (KJV)

                    But I say unto you which hear, Love your enemies, do
                    good to them which hate you,

                    Bless them that curse you, and pray for them which
                    despitefully use you.



Here then is a prayer for Saddam Hussein. Please join with me
as we pray for one who hates us.


           O Lord, we face a rocky road ahead:
           The bombs are being readied for the strike,
           But almost no one thinks that it will work
           To end the threat we feel from this one man.

           And so we turn to You in simple prayer,
           That You will bless Saddam and give him love;
           That You will ease the problems in his mind
           And cast out any demons he may have.
           We pray that You forgive Him all his sins
           As You have now forgiven all of ours.
           We pray that You will fill him with Your love
           And let him find new joy in every breath.
           In Jesus' holy name we pray, Amen.
