However, she actually suffered no injury! The case was thrown out of court because the judge found no merit in it. Thus it was illegal from the start because it was based on a lie. Also, the line of questioning was illegal and should not have ever been permitted. First, it is a gross invasion of our Constitutionally- protected right of privacy to force someone to reveal intimate personal secrets against his will. Clinton was accused of no crime, nor did he commit any crime. Her lawsuit was about money, not criminal justice. Second, what if Lewsinsky had a jealous husband and he killed her when he found out about her giving oral sex to Bill Clinton? This kind of thing could easily happen if people are required by the courts to describe details of their sexual adventures. So it is fundamentally wrong to permit the courts to ask such questions in civil cases, where no crime such as rape is involved. Even if Bill Clinton did ask her for oral sex, this is not illegal. He broke no law. Politicians can get oral sex from star-struck political groupies all the time, if they want it. There is a saying where I grew up (Florida): "Eatin' ain't cheatin'." Just like sports heroes and rock musicians, for whom oral sex is a readily-available commodity. And oral sex is not "sexual relations." "Sexual relations" is defined as "coitus," which means "sexual intercourse with male penetration." Oral sex might be "sexual excitement." It might be "sexual climax." It might be "sexual behavior." But it is not "sexual relations." Look it up yourself in your own dictionary - "sexual relations." See what it says. Thus Bill Clinton did not lie when he said he did not have sexual relations with Monica Lewinsky. Bill Clinton has now paid Paula Jones $850,000. This is basically money she illegally extorted from him. It is not an admission of guilt in any way. Bill McGinnis bmcgin@patriot.net http://www.patriot.net/users/bmcgin/clintondefense.html
