They have made the charges, but they cannot prove them. And to each of their specific allegations, there is a reasonable answer that shows his innocence of the charge. Under our legal system, a person charged with a crime is presumed to be innocent until proven guilty. Only after he is convicted in court can he be legally considered guilty. Clinton's enemies suspect He broke the law. They believe in their own hearts that he broke the law. They intensely desire that he broke the law. But they cannot prove it to any court's legal satisfaction. There is no legitimate court in this country that would convict Clinton of breaking any law. He has a reasonable answer for every specific charge. For each specific charge against him, there is "reasonable doubt" that he is guilty. "Yes," they say. "But if you look, you can see a vast pattern of illegal activity." Wrong. THEY can see a vast pattern of illegal activity because they WANT to see such a pattern. In psychology, the phenomenon is called "projection." His enemies project their own internal beliefs onto neutral objective data, and they see patterns that do not objectively exist. Here is a classic joke which illustrates this psychological phenomenon of "projection." A teenaged boy with active male hormones went to see a psychologist. The psychologist administered the Rorshach Inkblot Test, in which the subject views various inkblots and tells the psychologist what he "sees" in the inkblots. (Of course the inkblots are completely neutral. Objectively they don't depict anything.) After the test is over, and the psychologist is finishing his notes, the boy is preparing to leave the office. Then he turns to the psychologist and says, "Doc, can I please take take the pictures of naked women home with me?" This is "projection." This is is the mechanism by which Clinton's enemies see "illegal activity" in his every action. It all comes out of their own minds.
