A 5 inch Gun Salute? Yes! Vesole at Massawa, Ethiopia, Jan 25, 1967. Astern is the cruiser USSR GNEVNY. Vesole is firing a 21-gun salute to honor H.I.M. Haile Selassie who is departing after an official visit. Vesole was built in 1944, modernized in 1964. LOA 390'6" - beam 41'. Accomodates 20 officers and 330 enlisted men.
