If so, you are invited to become a worker to promote The Golden Rule as the universal standard for interpersonal behavior. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." Workers are needed to write letters, send e-mail, set up web sites, contact elected officials, talk to the media, and promote The Golden Rule by every means possible. The Committee For The Golden Rule is an all-volunteer, Internet-based organization dedicated to promoting The Golden Rule worldwide. Nobody gets paid, and we have no budget. Each of us does what we can, using our own resources. If you would like to be a part of this effort, we would love to have you. You can start by first adopting The Golden Rule as your own personal standard for behavior toward others. Then you can encourage others to adopt The Golden Rule for themselves. Here is a draft resolution suitable for adoption by legislatures, school boards, boards of directors, various other organizations. This resolution needs to be copied and sent to thousands of officials and media throughout the world. YOUR HELP IS NEEDED! Draft Resolution To Adopt The Golden Rule WHEREAS, This Body recognizes the need for a useful and acceptable standard of interpersonal behavior for the people within our jurisdiction; and WHEREAS, The Golden Rule has proven itself to be the most useful, most acceptable such standard yet discovered; and WHEREAS, The Golden Rule can be expressed in any of the following ways: 1. "Do unto others as you would have them do unto you." 2. "Treat others as you want to be treated." 3. "Treat other people the way you would like to be treated." 4. "Treat other people the way you want to be treated." 5. "Whatever you want people to do to you, do that to them." THEREFORE BE IT RESOLVED, That we hereby adopt The Golden Rule as the fundamental standard of interpersonal behavior for all people within our jurisdiction; and we urge all people everywhere likewise to adopt The Golden Rule as their own. * * * => Committee For The Golden Rule - Homepage http://www.patriot.net/users/bmcgin/golden.html You can contact me at bmcgin@patriot.net Bill McGinnis, Founder Committee For The Golden Rule P.
