Gwyn McVay is the author of two chapbooks of poems, Brother Ikon (Inkstone Press) and This Natural History (Pecan Grove Press); her first full-length collection of poems, Ordinary Beans, is forthcoming from Pecan Grove Press in 2007. Her poetry has been anthologized several times and has appeared in numerous periodicals as varied as Prairie Schooner, Ploughshares, Boulevard, Exquisite Corpse, New American Writing, Rain Taxi, Ribot, and others. She teaches English and sociology at Millersville University, where she appeared in The Vagina Monologues by Eve Ensler, and the Pennsylvania College of Art & Design; she and her husband, who are jointly owned by two cats, are never far from Intercourse, which is about as close to Paradise as it gets.
